Newly introduced Utility Model Patent Application Enquiry Services from Taiwan Patent Office

Since May 2, 2012, the Taiwan Patent Office provides the Utility Model patent application enquiry services, the relevant information is provided as follows.

1. The enquiry services for the Patent Application Information Retrieval of a Utility Model patent application are newly introduced under the “patent public information enquiry” service at the E-Net (https://tiponet.tipo.gov.tw) of the Patent Office since May 2, 2012.

2. The data available to be enquired are the patent application information retrieval of a Utility Model patent application whose filing date is on or after May 1, 2012 and which has been published.

3. The contents of the UM patent application information retrieval, available to be enquired by the public include:
(1) the basic data of an application include the Application No., the Publication No., the issued No., the title, the case status, the applicant’s name, the patent attorney’s name, the priority information and so on;
(2) the image file of the petition from the applicant;
(3) the image file of the specification filed by the applicant;
(4) a part of attachments filed by the applicant, where the amended specification in a clean version, the amended specification in a mark-up form and the response are currently available;
(5) the image file of the Office Action issued by the Patent Office; and (6) the image file of the attachment, including a revaluation report in the Office Action issued by the Patent Office.
